Where to buy natural wine in Ixelles
Buying natural wine in Ixelles is mostly about finding someone who tastes it before you do. Here's how I choose my bottles, and how you leave with the right one.

Natural wine came into my life before the idea of the shop even did. These are living wines: they move, they surprise, they don't all behave the same way. That's exactly why a self-service shelf isn't enough — you need someone to tell you what's actually in the bottle.
What "natural wine" means at Lära
Grapes grown without synthetic chemicals, hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and minimal intervention in the cellar — in particular very little or no added sulphur.
It's not an official label but a way of working. Which is why knowing the winemaker matters more than the label on the bottle.
How I select
I taste everything I sell. A natural wine can be precise, easy-drinking, luminous — or frankly wobbly. I keep the ones that make you want a second glass.
I also look for variety: crisp whites, light reds best drunk cool, skin-contact wines for the curious, and bubbles for toasting.
Leaving with the right bottle
Tell me three things: what you'll be drinking it with, at what moment, and whether the person you're sharing it with is more classic or more adventurous. Three questions and we almost always get it right.
For a first step into natural wine, I'd suggest a light red served cool or a white with no skin contact: the pleasure is immediate, without too abrupt a change of scenery.
Storing and serving
Keep bottles lying down, cool, away from light. Many natural wines benefit from being served a little cooler than you'd expect, reds included.
Open it, taste it, wait ten minutes: a living wine changes in the glass, and that's often when it turns really good.
